Liam Rosenior calls for Chelsea 'reset' after Everton hammering

Speaking after the Everton defeat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Rosenior admitted it was his most disappointing night in charge. "It hurts, regardless of your position, losing games of football," he said. "This has been a tough period, but the international break comes at a good time for us."

Rosenior hopes the pause in fixtures will allow players to refresh their minds, even as many travel abroad to represent their countries ahead of this summer's World Cup in the United States. "Hopefully, a reset, some time away, gives the group a chance to regather their thoughts and come back refreshed," he explained.

Despite the setbacks, Rosenior praised Chelsea's travelling fans, saying their support has been invaluable. "The supporters pay their money, they love this club, and they've come a long way. We want to acknowledge that and make sure they know it means a lot to us," he added.

Looking ahead, Rosenior urged the squad to focus on the opportunities still available this season. Chelsea are just one point off a Champions League place in the Premier League and face an FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, April 4. "We need to keep working, give the players confidence, and look at the bigger picture," he said.

The Blues now face a chance to reset and approach the final months of the season with renewed focus, aiming to recover momentum in both domestic and European competitions.
