Speaking to after collecting the Coach of the Year 2025 award at the Globe Soccer Awards, Campos addressed PSG's strategy moving forward and stressed the importance of stability at the top of the club. He said the priority remains keeping key players together while ensuring the project continues under the same leadership.
Luis Enrique is under contract until June 2027, but Campos has made it clear PSG do not want to wait. He described the Spaniard as a cornerstone of the project and suggested his future is one of the most important issues facing the club.
"The Parisian clubs have the resources and the arguments to retain their stars and remain a club of the future," Campos said. "The only danger they face will come from Luis Enrique. A cornerstone of the project, he is under contract until 2027. Qatar will do everything to extend him."
PSG captain Marquinhos has also spoken highly of the coach, praising his work following what he described as an unprecedented season. In 2025, Paris Saint-Germain achieved a historic sextuple, winning six trophies in the calendar year: Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Trophee des Champions, the UEFA Champions League, the European Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
"He knew how to work on all aspects of the game," Marquinhos said. "It's not just about the midfield, it's not just about the ball. Top-level football is also about mental strength, recovery, and high standards.
"He knew how to work on all of those aspects. He also knew how to prepare us for everything that could happen in a match, with or without the ball."
With backing from Qatar Sports Investments and strong support from the squad, PSG appear fully committed to securing Luis Enrique's long-term future as they look to build on their remarkable achievements.
