Magesi FC strengthen squad with signing of Curtley Napier and Reagan Van Der Ross

Napier, 25, joins the Limpopo-based outfit after parting ways with Casric Stars. Known for his work rate and eye for goal, he will be tasked with leading the line for Dikwena Tsa Meetse under head coach John Maduka.

With Magesi aiming to establish themselves as a strong force in the topflight, Napier's arrival is expected to add firepower and depth to their attacking department.

Van Der Ross, 26, arrives from Durban City, where he had a steady stint since joining the club in 2022 from Royal AM. The Cape Town-born winger contributed three goals in 25 appearances and was widely appreciated for his pace and creativity down the flanks.

His professional journey also includes time with Maritzburg United before the club's transition to Royal AM. His versatility is expected to provide Maduka with more options in wide areas.

The announcement was made on Sunday morning, with the club emphasizing its commitment to strengthening the squad ahead of a demanding campaign. Having shown resilience last season, Magesi are now determined to climb higher up the table, and the double signing reflects their ambition to compete with more established teams in the league.

Both Napier and Van Der Ross will be eager to make an immediate impact as they look to cement their places in Maduka's starting lineup. Their arrival also signals Magesi's intent to combine youth and experience as the club continues its growth in South African football.
