Mamelodi Sundowns look set to miss out on transfer target Feisal Salum

Mamelodi Sundowns look set to miss out on transfer target Feisal Salum

The 26-year-old midfielder is a reported long-term target for a number of Betway Premiership clubs including Downs and league rivals Orlando Pirates.

Salum joined Azam from Young Africans in July 2023 and was an integral part of their team last season.

He is also a seasoned Tanzanian international with 31 caps and two goals.

Ferry told FARPost: "What I see, honestly. I see a player who's happy to be in Azam to play in this championship.

"I don't see that he doesn't have ambition [to move in future]. But I think for the moment, he is fine where he is, you know.

"Sometimes, it's important to find a good path for yourself and your career, so you should have ambition.

“I think he has ambition, but maybe he's waiting for the right moment to sign somewhere else. But there's nothing at the moment, nothing that I know.”
