Marshall Munetsi returns to Wolves as Nottingham Forest interest grows

The 29-year-old spent the 2025/26 campaign in France after joining Paris FC on a temporary deal in January, where he enjoyed an impressive spell and became an influential figure in midfield, Zimbabwe Herald wrote.

Reports indicate he finished the season with 15 appearances and four goals across all competitions, helping strengthen his reputation after a difficult period in England.

Despite returning to Wolves for pre-season preparations, Munetsi's long-term future at Molineux remains unclear.

Recent reports suggest Nottingham Forest are among the clubs monitoring the Zimbabwe captain ahead of the new campaign, with discussions reportedly taking place regarding a possible move.

Interest has also been linked from elsewhere, while a permanent stay in France now appears increasingly uncertain.

Munetsi previously hinted that he would be open to continuing his career in France after settling well at Paris FC, although no agreement has been reached regarding his next destination.

For now, the midfielder is back at Wolves and awaiting clarity as the transfer window develops, with the coming weeks expected to determine whether he remains in England or begins a new chapter elsewhere.
