Marumo Gallants test for top five chasing TS Galaxy in Betway Premiership

The Rockets entered the mid-season break in eighth place on the league standings with 21 points from 14 games following a goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs.

Gallants, who were last held to a 1-1 draw with Magesi, sit in 12th with 15 points.

Under head coach Adnan Beganovic the Rockets continue to make progress although will surely be impacted by loss of Qobolwakhe Sibande, Puso Dithejane and Khulumani Ndamane, who have all left the club this transfer window.

Beganovic feels though that his team will cope and told the Sowetan: "We've sold Khulumani to Sundowns and we also sold Puso to Chicago Fire, but we still have a good squad full of quality. It's still our goal to finish in the top eight, and I think we can achieve that.

"TS Galaxy was there before Khulumani and Puso and it'll continue to be there without them.

"We've always shown that we can replace players, so I don't think we will decline now.

“We always have at least two quality players in each position, so if we sell, another player immediately steps up.”

Gallants have, meanwhile, strengthened their ranks with the triple signing of Romaric Ouattara, Emmanuel Mwiinde and Msindisi Kunene after selling Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane to Betway Premiership rivals Orlando Pirates.

The two teams do duty at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, with kick-off at 19:30.
