The Bayern Munich sporting director made it clear he was relaxed about the situation, pointing to Kompany's long-term deal as a key factor.
"Let them watch," Eberl said. "He has a contract until 2029. Even though he is only turning 40, he already belongs to the very elite group of coaches."
Eberl went further in his praise, highlighting Kompany's intelligence and growing reputation within the game.
"He is a very clever, intelligent person - and I mean really clever. He has always been highly respected, but he is increasing that respect every day just by being himself."
While Kompany continues to attract attention, Eberl also addressed his own future at the club, with his contract running until June 2027. The 52-year-old admitted he has adopted a calmer approach to his role after gaining experience within Bayern's structure.
"I have learned how things work at Bayern," he explained. "If I do my job well, the people I speak to will make their decisions."
Eberl acknowledged that earlier in his career, uncertainty around contracts would have unsettled him, but his mindset has since changed.
"It used to make me nervous. Now I just focus on my job and let others decide if they are satisfied or not. That is all I can control."
He added that while internal discussions continue behind the scenes, his attention remains firmly on football matters.
"I am calm and focused on what is happening on the pitch," he said.
With Kompany under contract and backed strongly by the club's hierarchy, Bayern appear in no rush to entertain any outside interest as they continue to build under their highly rated coach.
