Padime was handed a late cameo in Pirates' 3-0 victory over Sekhukhune United in the second leg of their MTN8 semi-final at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday.
The victory secured a fifth consecutive MTN8 final appearance for the Buccaneers, who completed a commanding 4-0 aggregate triumph after winning the first leg 1-0.
With Pirates already two goals ahead on the night, Ouaddou introduced Padime late in the second half and encouraged the youngster to enjoy himself rather than carry the pressure of the result.
The midfielder responded positively, showing confidence on the ball and contributing to Pirates' third goal as the home supporters celebrated his introduction.
"I will be honest with you, I'm somebody who wants efficiency, I want goals, clean sheets, but at the same time, like I said to the boy when he just went on, I said, 'My boy, it's 2-0, enjoy your football,'" Ouaddou told SuperSport after the match.
"I've got nothing more to ask from you. Just enjoy your football. Sometimes you have to give this freedom to these boys."
Ouaddou admitted that while he would not encourage unnecessary risks when a match is still in the balance, the situation changes when his team has established a comfortable advantage.
"Even climbing on the ball, stuff like that, when it's 0-0 or a draw, I don't like that. When we're three or four goals up, I have to integrate myself into the culture of the country sometimes and let them have the freedom," he added.
The French-Moroccan coach also made it clear that the result would not lead to any relaxation behind the scenes.
With Pirates competing on multiple fronts this season, including the Betway Premiership, MTN8 and CAF Champions League, Ouaddou says preparation remains a constant priority.
"For me, there's no day off. Since I came back on June 24, my focus is on the league, MTN8, Champions League," he said.
"Me and my staff, we have to work to anticipate and plan things because success doesn't come like that. You've got to plan for things."
With the MTN8 final now secured, Pirates will turn their attention to the next challenge as Ouaddou looks to maintain the momentum generated by his side's impressive start to the campaign.
