Oswin Appollis claims Orlando Pirates will not undermine Marumo Gallants in cup final

The 24-year-old has played an important role in Bucs MTN8 Cup victory and getting the club to the summit of the Betway Premiership ahead of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

Furthermore, the winger has established himself as a key member of the Bafana Bafana set-up which clinched 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification last month.

"There has been an improvement," said Appollis to reporters about his current form.

"But it's also about the players around you, who you play with, and as you can see, we are a very special group, and we got to understand each other and as you can see in the group. It's not just me who improved; it's the whole team who have improved."

The former Polokwane City star has featured in 21 matches since joining the Soweto giants, scoring four goals and providing six assists ahead of their second final of the season against Marumo Gallants this Saturday.

“It would be a special moment for us to win this trophy, but Marumo Gallants is a very strong team, and we won't go there undermining them, it's our job to work more harder than them to get the trophy,” added Appollis.

The diminutive winger will join up with Bafana Bafana a few days after the Carling Knockout final as preparations begin for AFCON 2025.
