The Bafana star picked up a knock in the second half of the Buccaneers' 3–0 Betway Premiership win over TS Galaxy last week and subsequently missed the CAF Champions League second qualifying round first leg win over African Stars.
He has subsequently returned to training with his teammates but is unlikely to be in contention when Bucs face the Namibian side at the Amstel Orlando Arena on Friday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ouaddou explained that Appollis is an important part of his squad and will only return when fully fit.
"I'm happy that he was in training, the target was to see what he can do, in the warm-up to see if he can sprint, it's good news, he said he doesn't feel pain," Ouaddou said on IOL.
"But you must understand Oswin is an important player of the team, they are all Ferraris, we need to take care of the engines very well. I don't want to risk any players ahead of these important games, or burn anything."
Appollis might have to wait until the Carling Knockout Cup clash with Milford on Tuesday to make his Pirates return.
