Pep Guardiola: Arsenal won't drop many points

Speaking ahead of City's Sunday fixture against Aston Villa, Guardiola expressed a strong belief that current league leaders Arsenal, who hold a three-point lead over City, will be extremely difficult to catch.

"In the Premier League, I have the feeling now that Arsenal is not going to drop much points," Guardiola stated, calling that prediction "the reality." The Gunners are in strong form, having won six consecutive games, conceding just a single goal in that run.

Despite Liverpool's recent dip in form—suffering a 3-2 defeat at Brentford, their fourth consecutive league loss—Guardiola insists the reigning champions remain a primary concern.

"I have that feeling with Arsenal, with Liverpool as well," he confirmed.

The Catalan boss pointed to Liverpool's recent match against Manchester United, noting they "had incredible chances to win the game," suggesting their recent results do not reflect their underlying quality.

"I think Liverpool remain one of the main favourites to do that. And the distance, three, four points at this stage is nothing," Guardiola explained, stressing the long-term threat of both clubs.
