Report: Marcus Rashford angling for Barcelona move
Barcelona's interest in Marcus Rashford has added intrigue to the forward's uncertain future, as Manchester United seek a permanent transfer for the England international this summer.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new striker after enduring their lowest-scoring season in 35 years.
Gyokeres has been high on their list, with manager Ruben Amorim keen to reunite with the Swedish international after their prolific spell together at Sporting, where Gyokeres scored 66 goals in just 15 months.
However, United's hopes had appeared uncertain, with Gyokeres reportedly favouring a move to Arsenal. The Gunners were also heavily linked, but new reports from Germany (BILD) indicate that Arsenal have now agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko, 22, netted 21 goals last season and is seen as a long-term option to lead the line at the Emirates. Arsenal are expected to meet Leipzig's valuation, signalling their intent to wrap up the deal swiftly. Should they complete the signing, it would almost certainly end their interest in Gyokeres.
This development could significantly aid United's pursuit, clearing one of their main rivals from the race.
While Gyokeres has a 100 million euros release clause, earlier reports of a possible fall-out with Sporting suggested a lower fee might be achievable, though that situation has since become more complex.
