Report: Porto close to agreeing deal to sign Arsenal's Jakub Kiwior

The package is expected to be worth around 26 million pounds, including the loan fee, though the total could rise further depending on both the player's performances and Porto's success.

Kiwior joined Arsenal in January 2023 from Spezia for 20 million, and since then has established himself as a useful member of the squad.

The versatile defender, who can play both at centre-back and left-back, made 68 appearances and scored three goals for the Gunners, notably starting the final 12 matches of the 2024-25 campaign and netting his first goal for the club in a win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 24-year-old's career began in his native Poland, progressing through the youth systems of PUKKS Chrzciciel Tychy, UKS Grom Tychy and GKS Tychy before joining Anderlecht's academy in Belgium.

He made his professional debut in Slovakia with FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova in 2018, later moving to MSK Zilina where he made 58 appearances. His rise continued at Spezia in Serie A, where he featured 39 times before Arsenal brought him to the Premier League.

On the international stage, Kiwior has represented Poland across all youth levels and made his senior debut on 11 June 2022. He has since become a regular in the national team set-up, praised for his composure and ability to play out from the back.
