Robert Lewandowski raring to go for Barcelona after injury issues

The 37-year-old talisman missed Barca's last three matches against Girona, Olympiacos and Real Madrid last month due to a muscle fibre tear, an injury that led to him missing the first game of the LaLiga campaign.

However, the Poland star has been cleared to face Belgian side Club Brugge on Wednesday, and he wants nothing less than a victory on his return.

"I feel great physically and the most important thing I can do is to help the team to win," said Lewandowski at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

"It's not important how the season starts, but how it ends. I'm focused on doing things better and scoring more goals so the team can win. I've worked hard these past weeks so that when I step onto the pitch, I can help."

The former Bundesliga sensation has scored four goals in ten appearances in this campaign, will all four strikes coming in LaLiga encounters.

"In modern football there are a lot of matches, and if we play as a team, we're more dangerous and that's when we can win trophies. I'm calm because I know I can help the team a lot," added the forward.

"Every match in this Champions League is important. Every point is gold. So, in our minds, it's only about how to win. Brugge are a very strong at home and we have to play at 100 percent to get the three points, which is our main goal."

Barca are currently in 12th position of the league phase with Brugge sitting dangerously in 24th spot.
