The partnership covers the senior men's team South Africa national football team, the senior women's side South Africa women's national football team, as well as all national age-group teams, both male and female.
The announcement comes just months before Bafana Bafana's return to the global stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup - their first appearance at the finals since South Africa hosted the tournament in 2010. Bafana have been drawn in Group A and are set to face hosts Mexico national football team in the opening match on June 11 in Mexico City.
Speaking at a press conference in Rosebank, SAFA president Danny Jordaan emphasised the long-term significance of the deal.
"For our success to be sustainable we must continue beyond Mexico, the USA and Canada," Jordaan said.
"We are looking at this to be a significant moment so the brand is sustained. What we have to do is look at this as the beginning of a longer term that comes in the form of what we at SAFA call ‘Vision 2030'.
"So we have already planned from 2026 to 2030. In the plan of 2030 what is already secure is a reliable financial partner in the form of Standard Bank to walk the path with us."
The agreement provides SAFA with financial stability and strategic backing as it aims to strengthen all national teams and build toward its long-term development objectives.
