Senne Lammens: Physicality has helped me be successful at Man Utd

Speaking after the match, Lammens emphasised that handling high-pressure situations in the box has always been a strength.

The Belgian had only one season as Antwerp's first-choice goalkeeper and had yet to make his international debut before arriving in England.

Despite this, he handled relentless pressure with calm assurance, standing out while more experienced teammate Andre Onana struggled at Old Trafford.

Everton manager David Moyes admitted he did not expect Lammens to cope so effectively, highlighting the goalkeeper's strength and presence as key factors in United's clean sheet.

Analysts suggest Lammens' combination of physicality and composure makes him particularly well-suited to the Premier League's demanding style, signalling a promising debut season.

"It's physicality and a bit of war in the 16 (18-yard area)," said Lammens.

"It's always been a bit of my strength, always, even in Belgium which is less physical but the principles are all the same. The technique is the same.

"Now it's a little bit more bodies in front of you, but my teammates help me out as well with blocking the guys away from me.

"You have to be kind of big and not easy to be pushed around, so I think that's also important."
