Stormers set to welcome back heavy-hitters for business end of the season

Stormers set to welcome back heavy-hitters for business end of the season

The Cape Town franchise has five matches to secure home advantage in the United Rugby Championship playoffs. They currently sit in second, four points behind Glasgow, while Munster are four behind.

The difficult Champions Cup trip to Toulon on 4 April is a spanner in the URC works. Somewhat ironically, should they get through the Round of 16 clash, they will face either the Bulls or Glasgow the following week.

This past Sunday, the Stormers welcomed back Dan du Plessis from injury in their win over the Dragons, but there are more stars on the way. Most notably, double World Cup winner Cobus Reinach is perhaps just two weeks away from a return.

"Cobus will be back much sooner than we thought," Dobson told the media on Sunday.

"I think he might be ready for Toulon in two weeks. He'll definitely be back the following week against Glasgow Warriors.

"Our roster is nice now; it is a pity about Seabelo [Senatla], but we have Dan back.

"Hopefully Seabelo isn't out for too long, Ruben [van Heerden] is coming back soon, and a few more guys will be back soon. We probably have a much better injury roster than we had a month or two ago."

The Stormers will need all hands to the pump if they are to be successful across two competitions over the next few months.
