Velemseni Ndwandwe tips Siyanda Ndlovu for the very top after interests from big teams

There is reportedly interest from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in Ndwandwe.

Ndlovu has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for Abafana Bes'thende, emerging as one of the most talked-about young midfielders in South African football. His influence in the final third has been evident, having contributed four goals and six assists across all competitions so far this season.

After being promoted to Arrows' senior side in 2023 following impressive performances in the DStv Diski Challenge, Ndlovu has grown steadily in confidence and responsibility, establishing himself as a key figure in the Durban-based outfit.

"There are a lot of good players in our team, but for me he is one of the best players in the league right now," Ndwandwe said after the Nedbank Cup last-16 draw, which paired Arrows with Stellenbosch FC, Sportswire reported.

"He has the most dribbles and the most chances created in the league. That tells you a lot about the work he does for the team and how important he is in our attacking play," Ndwandwe continued.

"He is the most professional player I've ever seen. He wins us games but stays humble. You wouldn't even know teams are interested in him because he keeps working hard, even after training," he said.

Ndwandwe also provided an update on his own recovery after sustaining an injury late last season, admitting it has been a frustrating period.

"I was hoping to return this month, but there were setbacks. Hopefully in four more weeks I'll be back," the defender added.

While Ndwandwe continues his rehabilitation, Ndlovu featured on Friday as Arrows claimed a 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Magesi FC at Seshego Stadium, further underlining his growing importance to the side.
