Viking host the German champions at the SR-Bank Arena, with Falchener preparing for the challenge of stopping England captain Kane, one of the most dangerous strikers in world football.
The Norwegian defender believes the key is to treat Kane like any other striker and use video analysis to understand his strengths and weaknesses.
"Harry Kane is a very good player, but we are all human. You have to put in your mind that he's a pretty ordinary striker, even though he is one of the best in that position," Falchener said in an interview.
"We've watched the videos and we know what to expect, what he is good at, and what we have to avoid with him."
Falchener was also asked whether he would rather defend against Kane or Manchester City striker Haaland, his fellow Norwegian.
While acknowledging the qualities of both forwards, he explained that their different styles make them difficult to compare.
"They're different types of players. Haaland is insanely big physically, fast and strong. Kane is a little more technical. He drops deeper and is more involved in the game. And he's also quite dangerous in front of goal," he said.
Despite Kane's technical ability and goalscoring threat, Falchener believes Haaland's combination of power and pace would present a greater physical challenge.
"I personally feel it would suit me better to face Kane than Haaland. When Haaland turns on the turbo, he's gone."
