'We could have won' - Glasner hails Forest fightback after Ipswich draw

Forest made a strong start and took the lead through Neco Williams, who finished confidently at the far post after being picked out by Daniel Munoz.

Morgan Gibbs-White came close to extending the visitors' advantage, but his effort drifted narrowly wide. He was denied again when Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton and defender Leif Davis combined to keep the ball out.

Ipswich made Forest pay for their missed opportunities when Julio Enciso capitalised on a poor backpass from Nikola Milenkovic to equalise against the run of play before half-time.

Glasner was encouraged by his side's response to conceding, particularly their attacking display after the break.

"It's not easy to get a point away from home in the Premier League, but it is the same feeling we've had in many games this year that we deserved more," he said.

"We could have won the game, but it was similar in that we missed a couple of chances. There was the goal-line clearance. Decisions weren't going our way, but we had a very good start to the game."

Forest continued to push for a winner in the second half, with Walton producing another important save to deny Murillo before Davis made a second goal-line clearance to frustrate the visitors.

There was also controversy when Ipswich defender Issa Diop brought down James McAtee as he advanced towards goal. After reviewing the incident on the pitchside monitor, referee Thomas Bramall awarded a free-kick and showed Diop a yellow card.

Ipswich had opportunities of their own, with Liam Delap sending one effort over the bar and going close again from the edge of the penalty area.

However, Forest had the clearest late chance to snatch victory when substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi was sent through on goal, only to guide his effort wide.

Glasner said the team's second-half performance demonstrated the players' growing belief and commitment to their approach.

"It was similar to Palace in that we didn't go in ahead, but the reaction was amazing, how we played in the second half and we created plenty of chances," he said.

"That shows that the group is believing in themselves and is very hardworking and willing to go down this pathway."

The Forest manager also praised the travelling supporters for recognising the players' efforts despite the disappointment of dropping two points.

"I would also like to say thank you and credit to our supporters, how they applauded and celebrated with the players, because I think this is what they deserve today," he added.

"Everyone can see the effort. We'll always stick together and we'll have enough games to celebrate afterwards."
