Imperious Shane Lowry claims record 11-stroke win at Irish Open
Hometown hero Shane Lowry made DP World Tour history with an incredible 11-shot win at the Amgen Irish Open in Doonbeg on Sunday.

The 2026 Amgen Irish Open gets underway on Thursday at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland in Doonbeg, near Limerick.
A star-studded field has been assembled for the tournament, with defending champion Rory McIlroy leading the way alongside Jon Rahm, Shane Lowry, Robert MacIntyre and Brooks Koepka.
Trump, who has owned the Doonbeg resort since January 2014, is visiting Ireland this week as part of a two-day trip.
He is expected to arrive on Saturday and is scheduled to meet Irish President Catherine Connolly and Taoiseach Micheál Martin during his visit.
According to the BBC, Trump is also expected to visit his golf resort in Doonbeg while in Ireland and could attend Sunday's final round of the Irish Open.
If he does attend, Trump could be on hand to present the trophy to the champion following the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday evening.
