Aaron Rai replaces injured Justin Thomas in Hero World Challenge field
England's Aaron Rai has been named as Justin Thomas' replacement in next month's Hero World Challenge.

Tournament host Tiger Woods, as anticipated, will sit out the event at Albany Golf Course in Nassau from Dec. 4–7 after undergoing back surgery on Oct. 10. His return to competitive golf remains uncertain; Woods will celebrate his 50th birthday on Dec. 30.
The 15-time major champion last competed at the 2024 Open Championship in July, where he missed the cut. Earlier this year, in March, he also had surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Heading the field this year is World No. 1 and two-time defending champion Scottie Scheffler, adding star power to the Hero World Challenge roster.
