Justin Rose extends lead at halfway mark at Farmers Insurance Open
Justin Rose extended his lead to four shots after the second round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

The 45-year-old signed for a four-under-par 68 around the iconic Torrey Pines course in his third round, enough to move him to an impressive 21 under for the tournament, six ahead of Joel Dahmen. It is the largest 54-hole of the PGA Tour event since Tiger Woods led by eight in 2008.
Rose enjoyed a run of three straight birdies on the front nine. On the fifth hole, he hit a pitching wedge to a back pin to six feet, then a 7-wood to pin-high on the par-5 sixth and finally a 9-iron over a tree to five feet.
And a further gain on the tenth moved his lead to eight shots. However, Rose showed he is human as he carded three bogeys coming home. As such, there'll be no complacency when he returns on Sunday.
"I've enjoyed playing the golf course this week. I want to continue to enjoy the week as a whole," Rose told the press afterwards.
"And yeah, it's another great round in good weather on an awesome golf course. There's never going to be any complacency. I think there's always enough respect for the game of golf in the back of your mind that you've got to do everything right tomorrow. You're going to come out, have to be focused, have to play well."
American Dahmen is in solo second on 15 under, while Japan's Ryo Hisatsune is tied for third with Si Woo Kim on 123 under.
All the way down in T61 on two under is Brooks Koepka, who is making his return to the PGA Tour this week.
"I've never felt comfortable on poa [bluegrass]," quipped the five-time major winner.
"You just miss a few and you've got zero confidence. I tried to take the break out to still be aggressive like I normally am, but I wasn't even hitting the hole. I don't know, I'm just going to chalk it up to just a bad day. But I'm happy with everything else."
