16-year-old Filip Pavic makes record-breaking Bayern Munich debut

He came off the bench as Bayern thrashed Atalanta 4-1 at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of their round of 16 tie, completing a 10-2 aggregate win.

"It was an incredible feeling to make my debut on such a big stage," Pavic said after the game.

The Bayern performance was dominant from start to finish, highlighting why they are considered one of Europe's elite sides. Alongside Pavic, 18-year-old Deniz Ofli also made his professional debut. Ofli made an immediate impact, winning possession and starting the move that led to Bayern's third goal.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Lennart Karl added to the historic night by becoming the youngest German – and Bayern player – to both score and assist in a single Champions League match. His goalscoring and creative contribution helped underline the strength of Bayern's emerging talent.

Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl praised the young duo after the match. "Both of them fit in really well; there was no noticeable drop in quality," he said.

The result ended Atalanta's Champions League run in brutal fashion, with Bayern progressing comfortably to the quarter-finals after an emphatic 10-2 aggregate victory.

Bayern's senior stars delivered as expected, but it was Pavic, Ofli, and Karl who stole the headlines, signalling an exciting future for the club's next generation.
