Five young guns that could be fetch big money at the SA20 player auction

Ahead of the player auction, we look at five U23 players that could fetch big money:

Dewald Brevis

The hard-hitting batter helped MI Cape Town to their maiden SA20 title last season and has the potential to break all sorts of records as teams bid of him.

Already capped in all three formats for the Proteas, the 22-year-old already has T20 appearances around the world and was a superb for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League earlier this year.

Brevis will come in a base price R500 000 but be prepared for the batter to go for much more.

Kwena Maphaka

The left-arm fast bowler is another who could break he bank when he goes under the hammer.

The 19-year-old already has a season with the Paarl Royals under his belt and showed his capabilities on the highest stage when he took nine wickets in three matches against Australia.

The paceman will go into the auction with a base price of R500 000.

Tristan Luus

The 20-year-old pace bowler was in the MI Cape Town squad that won their maiden SA20 title last season, although he only played in a single game.

Luus continued his development after being drafted into the MI New York team that took part in the MLC, playing four matches and taking six wickets.

The paceman could be sought after with a base price of R200 000.

Andile Simelane

The allrounder has been part of the SA20 in the third season when he played two matches for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape as they reached the final.

A hard-hitting batter that bowls medium-pace, the 22-year-old is another player that could be snapped up to fill the U23 role.

Already capped at international level, Simelane will have a base price of R200 000 at the auction.

Meeka-eel Prince

Prince will be a player to look for out for at the auction after enjoying season with the North West Dragons in South African domestic campaign.

Originally from the Western Cape, the 21-year-old made his home in Potchefstroom and blossomed into a fabulous batter and will also offer any franchise a role with the wicketkeeper gloves.

Prince will come in at the auction at a base price of R200 000.
