Lehlohonolo Seema urges Siwelele to fight after AmaZulu defeat

Speaking in the aftermath of the loss at Moses Mabhida Stadium, the coach urged his players to quickly put the setback behind them and refocus on the decisive fixtures ahead.

Siwelele's defeat, delivered by a brace from AmaZulu forward Athini Maqokola, brought an abrupt halt to a promising run in which they had won two of their previous three league matches and drawn the other.

It was their seventh league loss of the season and leaves them just five points clear of the relegation zone, heightening the urgency of their situation.

Seema remains confident his side can respond positively, especially with their next outing coming at home. Siwelele welcome struggling Chippa United on Saturday at 4pm, offering an opportunity to regain stability.

"We are going to go back and work hard again," he said.

"We will continue to fight. We know that in each and every game we will be playing for our lives [to avoid relegation].

"[The defeat by AmaZulu] is one game that we'd like to forget as quickly as possible because I don't think we applied ourselves very well.

"We lost because of our own doing. I think in the first 15, 20 minutes we should have scored one or two goals... even three. That's where we lost it because the players started to think that it was going to be an easy game."
