Luis Diaz delighted with red-hot form for Bayern Munich

The 28-year-old has scored three goals and registered two assists in just his first four appearances for Bayern, immediately becoming a key figure in their attack.

His arrival has added further depth to a squad already competing on multiple fronts, with Vincent Kompany looking to shape Bayern's future with a refreshed style of play.

Speaking during a press conference with the Colombian national team, Diaz expressed his delight at how quickly he has settled in.

"It is definitely always special to play for a big club, and Bayern are one of the biggest," he said. "They gave me an incredible welcome and treated me well. That is very important to integrate quickly, and they did that really well. I am very happy.

"I joined the right team, the right group. I will continue to work hard with both feet on the ground and focus on what is to come. This is just the beginning."

Diaz's form has also carried onto the international stage. He started in Colombia's 3-0 victory over Bolivia in Thursday's 2026 World Cup qualifier, where he provided an assist.

Colombia manager Nestor Lorenzo praised his performance, saying Diaz's confidence from club football had lifted the national team.

Bayern's new signing is expected to play a vital role as they chase both domestic and European success this season. With Diaz already delivering decisive contributions, Kompany will be encouraged by how quickly his summer recruit has adapted to life in Munich.
