Proteas set for T20I tri-series and first-ever ODI matches in Namibia

Shukri Conrad's charges will stay in Namibia in September and take on the hosts in three ODI games, which will be the first-ever 50-over contests between the teams.

All the games will be played at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, which was built for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

The T20I tri-series will kick off on 28 August, and will see each team play each other twice before the top two sides face off in the final on 6 September.

The three-match ODI series will begin on 9 September with further games on the 11th and 13th.

Pholetsi Moseki, Cricket South Africa CEO, said: "We are excited to be part of this white-ball tour, which not only further demonstrates our commitment to strengthening the game in our neighbouring countries, but also builds excitement ahead of next year's ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which will be co-hosted by all three nations."

Cricket Namibia CEO, Johan Muller added: "We are immensely grateful to Cricket South Africa and Zimbabwe Cricket for their commitment to this series, which reflects the strong partnership and shared vision to grow cricket across the African continent."

The tour to Namibia will kick off a busy schedule for the Proteas with Australia, Bangladesh and England touring South Africa.
