Report: Atletico Madrid lead chase for Stuttgart star Enzo Millot

The 23-year-old Frenchman, known for his flair and versatility, has attracted attention from several clubs after an impressive season in the Bundesliga.

According to L'Équipe, Atletico Madrid have opened negotiations with Millot, aiming to trigger the 20 million euros release clause in his contract, which runs until 2028. The La Liga giants see the former AS Monaco academy star as a key addition to their midfield, especially after securing David Hancko from Feyenoord, as reported by today.

Millot's performances have been pivotal for Stuttgart, who celebrated their DFB-Pokal triumph in 2025, with the midfielder scoring twice in the final against Arminia Bielefeld.

In the 2024-25 Bundesliga campaign, he contributed eight goals and five assists, earning praise for his dynamic play. "Enzo is a vital player and had a huge impact on our success last year," said Stuttgart's sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth to kicker. "His future is open, and a transfer is a possibility."

However, Atletico face competition. Turkish giants Galatasaray have held talks with Millot's representatives, drawn by his 18 million euros release clause and the prospect of Champions League football, as reported by BILD.

Turkish media claimed an agreement on personal terms, though kicker noted no final deal has been reached, and Stuttgart have yet to receive an official offer from the Istanbul club.

Despite interest from clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham, and Borussia Dortmund, as noted by neunzigplus.de, Atletico appear to be Millot's preferred destination.

Stuttgart, who signed Millot from Monaco in 2021 for less than two million euros, stand to make a significant profit. However, losing the attacking midfielder, who has 22 goals and 21 assists in 113 appearances, would be a blow to their ambitions.

With the transfer window heating up, Millot's next move promises to be one of the summer's most intriguing sagas.
