Report: Dusan Vlahovic poised for AC Milan switch as Juventus talks heat up

The 25-year-old has become expendable in Turin since Juventus signed Canadian forward Jonathan David, opening the door for AC Milan to capitalize on his availability.

Insiders reveal that AC Milan have been meticulously evaluating Vlahovic's situation, eager to pair him with their manager, Massimiliano Allegri, who coached the striker during his Juventus stint. "Vlahovic's profile aligns perfectly with Allegri's system," La Repubblica reported, emphasizing his suitability for the Rossoneri's high-pressing, dynamic style.

The club's recent transfer activity has boosted their financial firepower. Selling full-back Emerson Royal to Flamengo for nine million euros has freed up funds, enabling AC Milan to prepare a bid of 18 to 20 million euros for Vlahovic.

Juventus, with Vlahovic's contract running until June 2026, are keen to avoid a free transfer next year. Their general manager, Damien Comolli, has arranged urgent talks with Vlahovic's agent, Darko Ristic, to finalize terms.

Transfer expert Nico Schira posted on X, "Expected in the next hours a call between Vlahovic's agent and Juventus to discuss the future of the striker," highlighting the player's push for a severance package to ease the move.

AC Milan are weighing a tactical delay until the transfer window's final days, hoping to secure Vlahovic at a cut-price fee. Juventus, however, are resolute, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting, "Juventus are holding firm at 25 million euros for Vlahovic's transfer."

The Bianconeri are desperate to avoid a repeat of past transfer sagas where they lost players for minimal returns.

Vlahovic, who netted 17 goals in 44 appearances last season, has also caught Manchester United's eye but prefers staying in Italy to reunite with Allegri.

A key hurdle remains, Vlahovic's 12 million euros annual salary, which AC Milan insist must drop to six or seven million euros. "AC Milan won't go beyond 10 million euros for Vlahovic," journalist Carlo Pellegatti said on TMW Radio, stressing the financial discipline driving the deal.

As talks accelerate, AC Milan's pursuit of Vlahovic is shaping up as a blockbuster move, with fans dreaming of a lethal front line featuring the Serbian alongside Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether this transfer sparks a new era for the Rossoneri.
