Report: Juventus and Napoli want Man Utd star Jadon Sancho

The 25-year-old, whose career at Old Trafford has been turbulent, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Chelsea, where he made 31 Premier League appearances.

His time at United stalled under former manager Erik ten Hag, with public disputes over his training performances leading to two loan spells, first back to Borussia Dortmund in early 2024, then to Chelsea. Now, with new United boss Ruben Amorim seeking attacking reinforcements after a lackluster campaign, Sancho's future lies away from Manchester.

Juventus have taken bold steps to secure Sancho's signature, having "explored the conditions of a deal" with United, said Sky Sports News correspondent Dharmesh Sheth.

"The Italian club will formally approach United if they believe a move is realistic and they are in touch with Sancho's representatives over personal terms," he added.

Napoli, fresh off their Serie A title triumph, have also intensified their pursuit, reportedly holding talks with Sancho's camp to lure him to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Sancho's preference leans toward Napoli, where he could reunite with former United teammate Scott McTominay, who earned Serie A MVP honors last season after guiding Napoli to their fourth Scudetto.

However, Juventus remain undeterred, bolstered by their own English connection in former Newcastle defender Lloyd Kelly, now a permanent fixture in Turin.

United are keen to offload Sancho permanently, demanding a fee around 25 million pounds, a significant loss on the 73 million pounds they paid Dortmund in 2021. The Red Devils have no interest in a third loan, signaling their intent to cut ties with the winger, who has struggled to replicate his Bundesliga form in England.

Sancho's earlier career offers hope for a Serie A revival. At Dortmund, he dazzled with 50 goals in 137 appearances, including a brace in their 2021 DFB-Pokal final victory over RB Leipzig. His bold move from Manchester City's academy to Germany at age 17 showcased his willingness to embrace new challenges, a trait Juventus and Napoli are banking on.

Recent posts on X underline the transfer saga's intensity. Sky Sports News reported on June 20, that Juventus and Napoli's interest remains strong, while Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio noted Juventus' 25 million euro bid, though Sancho's preference for Napoli complicates their plans.

For Juventus, integrating Sancho into Igor Tudor's 3-4-2-1 system poses a challenge, with competition from Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceicao for attacking roles.

Napoli, under Antonio Conte, see Sancho as a long-term replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who departed in January, offering a clearer path to regular minutes.

As the transfer window heats up, Sancho's next move promises to reshape his career. Whether he joins McTominay in Naples or links up with Kelly in Turin, Serie A's elite are betting on the Englishman's flair to light up Italy's top flight.
