Stormers boosted by return of key duo ahead of crunch URC semi-final

Stormers boosted by return of key duo ahead of crunch URC semi-final

While both flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and winger Seabelo Senatla joined the list of walking wounded for the Cape Town outfit after last weekend's quarter-final win over Cardiff, the Stormers are set to welcome back lock Ruben van Heerden and centre Dan du Plessis.

Van Heerden has recovered from concussion, while Du Plessis is fit again after a knee injury.

"Ruben is travelling. Dan is also travelling," Stormers forwards coach Rito Hlungwani confirmed. "Seabelo, unfortunately, is not looking good because of concussion protocols."

The Stormers are well aware of the size of the challenge that lies ahead, taking on a team filled with Ireland international in their own backyard and coached by world-class talents.

"Leinster are a very good team, well coached and highly experienced. Jacques Nienaber is a two-time World Cup-winning coach and Leo Cullen... these are bloody good coaches," Hlungwani added.

"We're playing a strong team on their home ground, with lots of internationals. We'll have to be on top of our game.

"We're under no illusion. This is going to be a very, very tough game."

Flanker Paul de Villiers - sure to be a key figure for the Stormers on Saturday - echoed his words.

"For players and for the team, that's what we've been working for all season - to be here and to be playing in a semi-final," he said. "And then, of course, to play against Leinster, which is a proper team, makes it an even bigger occasion."
