Cam Green and Josh Inglis take Australia to 4-0 lead over West Indies
Australia chased down a hefty 205 to win the fourth T20I by three wickets in Besseterra on Saturday night.
The star of the night was Tim David, who hammered an unbeaten 102 off just 37 balls, notching up a blistering 37-ball century - the fastest ever by an Australian man in T20 Internationals.
His innings featured 11 towering sixes and six fours, including a 16-ball fifty and a finishing boundary off the first ball of the 17th over, bowled by Romario Shepherd.
David launched his assault with 28 runs in the 10th over against spinner Gudakesh Motie, including four consecutive sixes, and continued the onslaught with three more sixes and a four in the 12th over off Roston Chase.
He shared a record-breaking 128-run fifth-wicket partnership with Mitchell Owen, surpassing the previous Australian T20I benchmark of 105 runs for that wicket. Owen played a crucial supporting role, blasting 36 off 16 balls.
Earlier, West Indies posted a competitive 214/4 after being sent in. Shai Hope led the way with a fluent 102* off 57 balls, marking his first T20I century and joining Chris Gayle as the only West Indian men to score centuries in all three international formats.
Hope shared a 125-run opening stand with Brandon King, who struck 62 off 36 balls before falling to Sean Abbott off Owen's bowling.
Despite the defeat, the series continues with the fourth T20I scheduled for Saturday night, again at Warner Park.
