Wolves manager Rob Edwards condemns racist abuse of Tolu Arokodare

The 25-year-old former Amiens and Genk frontman was the subject of abusive messages on social media following the Premier League tie.

Wolves have endured a horrendous season in the English top-flight and currently sit in last place with just 10 points from 28 games.

Speaking after the game, Edwards condemned the abuse, saying on BBC Football: "[It's been a] really difficult week for him [Arokodare].

"He was upset and angered by it, understandably so.

"We have supported him, and we have had a few individual chats with him. We have spoken about it as a group to make sure we get around him and support him as well."

Sunderland winger Romaine Mundle endured similar abuse recently, as a substitute in the 3-1 home defeat by Fulham.

"What happened to Romaine is unacceptable - we stand with him," said Black Cats boss Regis le Bris.

"There is no room for racism or abuse in football or anywhere else. That's clear for us. We stand for respect, inclusion and diversity - these are the values of football and the values of the club."
