Capitals too hot for Mumbai to handle

Sameer Rizvi continued his good form with 90 off 51 balls while Pathum Nissanka struck 41 as the Capitals chased down a target of 163 to win by six wickets with 11 balls to spare.

Proteas batter David Miller was at the crease as the winning runs were scored to be unbeaten on 21 with international teammate Tristan Stubbs (3 not out) with him.

The Mumbai Indians limped to a total of 162-6 in their 20 overs with skipper Suryakumar Yadav top-scoring with 51 from 36 deliveries.

Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for the Capitals with figures of 2-26 from three overs while Proteas seamer took Lungi Ngidi took 1-34.

Royals edge Gujarat in last over thriller

Tushar Deshpande successfully defended 11 runs in the over to help the Rajasthan Royals to a six-run victory against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

Chasing a target of 211, Gujarat looked in trouble at 161-7 in the 15th overs but Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada stitched together a partnership that brought them back in the game.

Rashid was dismissed in the last over by Deshpande and the seamer bowled brillaint yorkers rto close our the match.

Earlier, the Royals cantered to a total of 210-6 in their 20 overs with Dhruv Jurel striking 71 while opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 55.
