Katlego Otladisa seeks fresh start with Durban City after Orlando Pirates exit

The 28-year-old has been without a club since parting ways with the Buccaneers at the end of last season, bringing a difficult spell at the Soweto giants to a close.

Otladisa joined Pirates in 2023 after a standout campaign with Marumo Gallants, but he struggled to replicate that form in a star-studded squad under Jose Riveiro.

His game time was limited to just 12 appearances across all competitions, before being sent on loan to Sekhukhune United during the January 2025 transfer window. Following the expiration of his loan, Pirates confirmed his release earlier this year.

Now, the winger is looking to reignite his career in KwaZulu-Natal, where he has been training under coach Gavin Hunt's watchful eye.

"Otladisa arrived in training this past Saturday and is certainly a player who interests the coach," a Durban City source told FarPost.

For Otladisa, who once lit up the Premiership with Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, a move to Durban City could provide the platform he needs to rediscover the form that earned him a move to Pirates in the first place.
