The announcement comes just days after Sundowns sealed their eighth consecutive league title.
The Brazilians wrapped up the league with a clinical 3-0 win over Chippa United on Wednesday at Buffalo City Stadium in East London. On Friday, the club revealed Chery as their new official vehicle partner, replacing Hyundai.
"Chery South Africa is proud to be the Official Vehicle Partner of Mamelodi Sundowns, one of South Africa's most decorated and popular football clubs," read a statement from the club.
"Known as 'The Brazilians' for their bold style of play and iconic yellow kit, Sundowns have a rich history that spans over five decades."
Under the agreement, Chery will provide Sundowns with a fleet of SUVs for matchday travel and club duties.
Tony Liu, CEO of Chery South Africa, said the deal goes beyond football as he is happy with the new partnership.
"We are thrilled to partner with Mamelodi Sundowns. This relationship reflects our commitment to uplifting local communities and promoting sport across the country," said Liu.
Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe echoed those sentiments, and says their proud to welcome the new sponsors.
"At Mamelodi Sundowns, we follow the philosophy of Ubuntu. Our success belongs to our supporters, our communities, and the people who make us who we are. We're proud to welcome Chery to our family," said the Downs chairman.
One lucky fan will drive away in a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro at Loftus Versfeld Stadium when Sundowns lift the PSL trophy for a record 15th time. They face Magest FC in their final league match on Sunday at 17:30 in Pretoria.
