Mikel Arteta hails new Arsenal signings after Nottingham Forest rout

Five new arrivals started at the Emirates Stadium, with Martin Zubimendi scoring twice - including a volley from outside the box - and Viktor Gyokeres netting his third goal in four games. Eberechi Eze, on his full debut, assisted Gyokeres, while Noni Madueke caused problems on the right wing.

Arteta praised the new players' performances despite limited preparation time following the international break.

"You can sense that there are new relationships flourishing," Arteta said. "It gives us unpredictability - and that's key."

He also highlighted the impact of Madueke, who started in place of the injured Bukayo Saka.

"Noni was exceptional. He brings power, courage and joy - and he's so willing to learn," Arteta said.

Arsenal kept a clean sheet for the third time in four Premier League matches, with teenager Cristhian Mosquera impressing while filling in for William Saliba.

"It's not easy to adapt to the league, but Mosquera is a great example. He was superb today," Arteta said.

Arteta stressed the importance of the summer transfer window, which saw the club spend over 260 million pounds on eight players.

"If we hadn't done that, with the injuries we have, we'd be in a very different place," he said. "This is the standard - the standard of the other teams in the league and in Europe."

The manager added that the squad depth offers flexibility and freshness but emphasized the need to keep all players connected and motivated.

"It gives us options. It gives us freshness. Now we have to make sure the team grows together," Arteta said.
