Viktor Gyokeres: 'Amazing' to play with Arsenal team-mates

The Swedish striker's arrival came amid a summer transfer window dominated by Arsenal's urgent need for a top forward, putting sporting director Andrea Berta under intense scrutiny to deliver.

Gyokeres, signed as one of Europe's most prolific goalscorers over the past two seasons, has so far justified that faith.

His debut at Old Trafford was met with questions and early criticism, but Gyokeres quickly responded on the pitch. His second goal, netted against Leeds United, was celebrated with a pointed look at the camera, followed by a dismissive hair flick that suggested he was unfazed by sceptics.

Fans have also lauded his recent close-range finish against Nottingham Forest, a goal that highlighted his composure and finishing instinct.

Gyokeres has benefited from strong support from his teammates, notably Eberechi Eze, who provided the assist for his Nottingham Forest strike, and Noni Madueke, whose performances have impressed alongside him.

"Yeah, it's amazing," he told Football London, when asked about playing with his Arsenal team-mates.

"They always want to go forward and be a threat. You could see today, they were very dangerous.

"For me to play with those players, you just have to be in the right positions, and you'll get chances. It's great."

He added: "I wanted to get here and get going. And yeah, of course, it's going to be pressure in a very, very big club. You know that. Just trying to make the best when you're out on the pitch and just don't think too much about that."
