Nasreddine Nabi impressed by Kaizer Chiefs' new signings and promising youth

The Glamour Boys made several high-profile additions during the off-season, including Ethan Chislett, Flavio Da Silva, Nkanyiso Shinga, and former Orlando Pirates pair Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako.

They also brought in ex-SuperSport United midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu, another player with Pirates experience. And now with expectations high, Nabi is encouraged by the early signs.

"All of them are adapting nicely," said the Tunisian coach via the club's media team.

"They're beginning to understand what I want from them. Our goal was to bring in players who could take us to a higher level than last season."

While the focus has largely been on bolstering the senior squad, Chiefs have also placed emphasis on youth development. Rising talents Naledi Hlongwane, Thulani Mabaso, and Kabelo Nkgwesa have been promoted from the youth ranks and are training with the first team.

Nabi, though, insists there will be no pressure on the youngsters to perform immediately.

"We're not going to rush them," he explained. "But I always believe in giving young players opportunities. If you're good enough, you're old enough - that's how I see it."

Following a productive two-week pre-season tour in the Netherlands, Chiefs have returned home to continue their preparations. With fresh faces, youthful energy, and a coach determined to shift gears, the message from Naturena is clear: the time for transition is over - the focus is now firmly on winning.
