Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah resurfaces at Stellenbosch training

Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah resurfaces at Stellenbosch training

The 28-year-old's spell with the Buccaneers was hampered by injuries after a promising start, making 81 appearances for the Soweto giants, scoring one goal.

Ndah has not featured in a competitive match since September 2024, making the matchday squad only twice this 2025/26 season for Pirates without making an appearance.

However, his signing for Stellies could add more experience to head coach Gavin Hunt's defence in addition to new recruit Mosa Lebusa.

The Nigerian international's representative Mike Makaab confirmed to FARPost that the centre-back is indeed at Stellenbosch and discussing the possibility of a move.

"He arrived on Monday to start training with the club," said the ProSport International CEO.

"We're hoping that by the end of this week, we could reach a conclusion on Olisa Ndah's future. He received his clearance within the January transfer window from Pirates, so he will be eligible to play for the club immediately should he sign."

Stellenbosch are still competing in the Nedbank Cup after defeating defending champions Kaizer Chiefs in the Round of 16 last week and will be hopeful of claiming silverware after a lacklustre campaign.
