Rajasthan Royals end IPL on a high after beating Chennai Super Kings

Chasing a target of 188, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi struck 57 while captain Sanju Samson scored 41 as the Royals coasted to victory in the 18th over.

Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 36 while Dhruv Jurel weighed in with an unbeaten 31 off just 12 balls as the Royals completed their 2025 season with their fourth win.

The Super Kings had earlier posted a total of 187-8 with Dewald Brevis striking a quick-fire 42 off 25 balls while opener Ayush Mhatre scored 43 from 20 deliveries.

Shivam Dube gave the innings a late boost with 39 off 32 balls but they were pegged back by the Royals bowlers with Akash Madhwal finishing with figures of 3-29 in his four overs.

Yudhvir Singh also took three scalps but went for 47 runs in his four overs while Tushar Deshpande and Wanindu Hasaranga took a wicket apiece.

It was a 10th defeat in 13 matches this season for the Super Kings and MS Dhoni's charges end their campaign on Sunday when they take on Gujarat Titans.
