Joao Pedro: Chelsea team-mate Cole Palmer good enough to break into Brazil team
Joao Pedro reckons Chelsea team-mate Cole Palmer would not look out of place starting for Brazil - praising his intelligence and creative intensity.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are interested in Palmer, although Chelsea are believed to have set an enormous valuation for the England international. Reports suggest 80 million GBP would only serve as the starting point for negotiations.
Chelsea are said to be looking to raise funds for up to three major signings under new manager Xabi Alonso, with insiders reportedly believing player sales will be necessary to balance the books.
Club officials, however, have publicly denied suggestions that significant departures are required.
Missing out on European football has increased the pressure on Chelsea to generate profit after the club finished 10th in the league with 52 points. Their difficult campaign concluded with a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and has since become one of the club's standout performers. The attacking midfielder has produced 54 goals and 32 assists in 131 appearances and helped Chelsea win the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. He has also scored 11 goals in 34 matches this season.
With Palmer contracted until 2033, Chelsea are considered to hold complete control over his future.
Several other high-profile players could also attract interest. Enzo Fernandez is reportedly viewed as a possible sale candidate, although Chelsea would require at least 100 million GBP due to his high amortised book value.
Defender Marc Cucurella could generate substantial profit if Atletico Madrid follow through on a reported 45m GBP bid, while a nine-figure offer from Barcelona for Joao Pedro may also test Chelsea's resolve.
