With the date usually reserved for Test cricket, Boxing Day 2025 will see the shortest format take center stage and the opening clash of the fourth season of SA20 when defending champions MI Cape Town host Durban's Super Giant at Newlands.

Double-header action on New Year's Eve

South African fans will usher in 2026 with a double-header on 31 December when two-time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will welcome the Paarl Royals at St George's Park in the afternoon before MI Cape Town host Pretoria Capitals in the evening at Newlands.

New Year's Day fun at the Wanderers

The festivities will continue on the first day of 2026 when Joburg Super Kings and Durban's Super Giants look to start 2026 on a high note at the Wanderers.

2 January - colour replaces Test whites

Usually the start date of the New Year's Test in Cape Town, fans in the Mother City can drive down the N1 to catch SA20 action when the Paarl Royals host MI Cape Town in the Cape derby.

Gauteng gets set for 'Super Saturday'

The Highveld will be hive of activity on 3 January when two matches take place on same day, at the Wanderers in the day and Centurion in the evening.
