Victor Osimhen blow for Nigeria ahead of Bafana test

The Galatasaray forward was withdrawn from the Super Eagles' 1-0 win over Rwanda on Saturday after 35 minutes with a calf injury.

Osimhen was replaced by Cyriel Dessers before Tolu Arokodare scored the winning goal at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium after 51 minutes.

The result kept Nigeria in the race for qualification, in third place in Group C with 10 points, five adrift of leaders South Africa and one behind Benin in second, with three games to play.

"He woke up with discomfort and will not be travelling with the squad to South Africa for Tuesday’s game," read a Super Eagles statement.
