AmaZulu close in on Kruger United midfielder Thapelo Matlhoko - reports

The 22-year-old impressed in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this season as his club ended their campaign in fifth place.

He netted four goals in 22 games in all competitions to peak the interest of a number of Betway Premiership teams, including Kaizer Chiefs.

iDiski Time report though that AmaZulu could be close to securing the player's services for the 2025/26 season.

The publication reported: "...sources have confirmed Usuthu have reached a verbal agreement to sign the player for the upcoming season and view him as a emerging talent that could develop into a regular player of their first team squad."

Celimpilo Ngema and Rowan Human have both left the club in recent weeks, seemingly leading to the need for reinforcements.
