Arthur Zwane urges home dominance as AmaZulu edge past Durban City

The match-winning moment came in the 88th minute when centre-back Taariq Fielies nodded in a decisive glancing header, securing AmaZulu's fourth league win of the campaign.

Zwane highlighted the challenges of managing a relatively young squad, noting that perfection is not immediately attainable.

"We are not going to get everything right at once… it's not possible with the young squad we have. Winning home games lays a solid foundation, and from there we gain the confidence, momentum, and belief to go and challenge opposition teams away from home," he said after the win.

Reflecting on the match, the AmaZulu mentor admitted that the team began shakily but improved as the game progressed. He also expressed disappointment over missed opportunities in the first half, which could have given them a more comfortable lead.

"We started a little shaky, but we gained momentum as the game progressed. We created two clear-cut chances. Had we been clinical in front of goal, we could have gone into halftime leading 2-0," Zwane added.

The victory reinforced AmaZulu's approach of establishing a stronghold in their backyard before focusing on away fixtures. With their next league outing scheduled for November 1 against Chippa United.
