Asante Kotoko snap up Accra Lions centre-back Musa Hamzata

The 22-year-old centre-back arrives at the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal from Accra Lions.

Hamzata played 47 games in all competitions for his former club last season, scoring three goals and creating two.

Speaking after penning his contract, a delighted Hamzata said on Ghanasoccernet: "This is a huge step for me, and I'm grateful for the chance to wear the Kotoko shirt.

"I know the expectations here are very high, but I’m ready for that challenge. I want to grow as a player, help the team win trophies, and show that I can be one of the best defenders in the league."

Asante Kotoko kick off the new season against Berekum Chelsea on 12 September, ahead of a CAF Confederation Cup clash with Kwara United.
