Stellenbosch continue squad revamp, Mashiane set to join
Stellenbosch are reportedly close to completing the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs wingback Happy Mashiane as they look to rebuild their squad for the 2026/27 season.

The Citizens have been revamping their squad after parting ways with interim coach Pitso Dladla and appointing Khalil Ben Youssef as new head coach.
Shandu (31) is a former Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates midfielder and won a number of accolades with the Buccaneers including the MTN8 (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025), the Nedbank Cup (2023 and 2024), the Carling Knockout Cup (2023) and Betway Premiership (2026).
Part of a club statement read: "Durban City FC is pleased to announce the signing of experienced defender Bandile Shandu ahead of the 2026/27 season.
"The 31-year-old joins Durban City following his spell with Orlando Pirates, bringing a wealth of Betway Premiership experience as the Club prepares for an exciting 2026/27 campaign that includes the Betway Premiership, domestic cup competitions and the CAF Confederation Cup.
"Naturally deployed at right-back, Shandu brings valuable versatility through his ability to operate in several roles across the right flank. His experience, leadership and tactical understanding make him an important addition to Durban City FC ahead of the new season."
Shandu expressed his delight at the move, adding: "I am delighted to join Durban City FC and would like to thank the coach and the Board for the confidence they have shown in me.
"From my conversations with the coach, it became clear that there is a strong vision and ambition for the future, and I wanted to be part of that Journey.
"I am looking forward to working with my new teammates and the technical team as we prepare for the season ahead."
