Bayern Munich confirm talks over Harry Kane contract renewal

Sporting director Max Eberl revealed the discussions on Monday, stressing that conversations with the England captain were already under way. Kane, now 32, joined Bayern in 2023 and is currently under contract until 2027.

"We're talking to Harry, we're talking," Eberl said at a Bundesliga event in Frankfurt. "Everyone knows that at some point a decision has to be made."

Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen struck a relaxed tone and made it clear the club felt no pressure to rush negotiations.

"Harry has great confidence in us and he feels comfortable in Munich," Dreesen said. "He and his family are settled in. Therefore, we've got absolutely no reason to rush."

Kane ended his long wait for a major team trophy in 2025 when Bayern lifted the Bundesliga title, a landmark moment in his career. This season, Bayern have continued to assert their dominance, sitting eight points clear at the top of the league and ranking second in the 36-team Champions League table.

The striker's impact has been immense. Kane has scored 119 goals in 126 appearances for Bayern, while also providing 30 assists. This season alone, he has found the net 34 times in 30 matches.

In the Bundesliga, Kane has already scored 21 goals in 19 games, putting him firmly on course to challenge Robert Lewandowski's single-season league record of 41 goals set in the 2020–21 campaign.

Speaking in October, Kane said he could "definitely imagine" extending his stay in Germany, and Bayern's latest comments suggest both sides remain aligned on a future together.
